What is lavender you might ask? Well lavender is the flowering plant in the mint family. It is identified by its, some say, sweet floral scent. It is a native plant from the Mediterranean, the middle east, and India with a history that dates back as far as 2,500 years ago. Back in the olden days, lavender was considered a holy herb. It was very commonly used to freshen up and give a pleasant scent to a variety of personal items like clothes and hair.
Today, many more beneficial uses have been discovered for this very precious and prized herb. Lavender has medicinal and therapeutic benefits as well. Many people have turned to the highly beneficial uses for lavender to avoid many side affects associated with taking modern medicines. Some benefits associated with regular lavender use includes improved sleep. Many sleep studies have been conducted such as one in particular, a study published in March 2017 in the British Association of Critical Nurses found lavender oil to be an effective remedy in improving sleep quality of their (ICU) patients who had problems sleeping. Simple easy lavender essential oil room pillow spray
Tools: 4oz spray bottle, lavender essential oil, water and vodka.
Fill bottle with distilled water, add 20-30 drops of lavender essential oil, add 1/8tsp of vodka, put top on and shake well!
Voila! You've just made your own essential oil spray. You can spray your pillow before bed and or spray your room and off you go to sleepy land.
